Secret proposal photography has to be one of the most emotionally charged types of sessions to do as a photo artist. The extremely fast paced moment of the proposal itself and the explosion of joy that comes afterwards are some of the hardest yet some of the most rewarding seconds to document.

This time around I had the incredible privilege of being asked to photograph another photographer proposing to his girlfriend at Tower Bridge – it was a true honour to have been trusted to do this by a colleague of mine as my colleagues always tend to be extremely picky with whom they trust to capture their own special moments!

With a little bit of help from planner extraordinaire Charlotte Munro and some perfect weather, this proposal went down without a hitch! So, without further ado,  I present to you the newly engaged Gökçe and Jan, and the sunny evening when Gökçe said YES!
