When I first spoke to Aref on the phone about his plans, I knew he was a man who didn’t do things by half when it came to his beautiful girlfriend Melissa. Not only had he decided that his proposal would have a Harry Potter theme (one of Melissa’s favourite things in the World!), he decided to surprise her by flying her out to London to visit the actual Harry Potter Studios, and with some help from professional proposal planners The One Romance organising a whole experience for her to enjoy…
We had the pleasure of being asked to secretly photograph those emotion-filled moments for this very special couple.  Acting like just another couple on tour, Michael and I discreetly followed these two through their experience, creating memories for them and finally getting to photograph the beautiful moment when Melissa said ‘Yes!’.

This year we were invited to photograph Aref and Melissa’s even more elaborate destination wedding in the mountains of Lebanon… But that’s a story for another time!
